Multi-Entity Management

Multi-Entity Management allows organizations to manage multiple legal entities within a single Sage Intacct environment.

Why it matters

Accountants and controllers using Multi-Entity Management can consolidate financial data across different business units, simplifying reporting and analysis while maintaining entity-level detail. This is especially useful for companies with offices or subsidiaries operating under separate legal structures.

When you use it

  • Supports scenarios where one entity provides goods or services to another (inter-entity bill back).
  • Allows printing of 1099 forms, configurable to issue a separate form per entity or from the top level/entity level.
  • Inter-entity bill back requires AR and AP invoicing and billing but does not use Avalara or Advanced Tax.
  • Enables inter-entity transactions, including journal entries and account mapping.
